Man arrested on assault and attempted robbery charges after kicking his victim in the face

A man was arrested earlier this week on charges of public intoxication, attempted robbery, and assault after police say he tried to rob a man and then kicked him in the face.

According to the arrest affidavit, Officer Cansas Pate made contact with 60-year-old Phillip Rattler on June 2nd at 11:46 pm to let him know that the had been “trespass warned” from the nearby hotel America’s Best Value Inn and was now forbidden to set foot on the property.
