Lana Holmes, the original owner of Chef’s Coney Connection, located in the Rock Creek Shopping Center, passed away on August 22nd at the age of 64.
Holmes spent 30 years in the hair salon business before she “decided to take a different route” and entered the restaurant industry. In 2005, Holmes opened Chef’s Coney Connection in Sapulpa, where she “met many loyal customers who turned into very dear friends.”
According to her obituary, “she never let anyone go hungry, she fed those who were in need of a meal, without question.”
Holmes sold the restaurant in 2019 when she decided to retire and “enjoy life at home.” Her family described her as “caring, compassionate, loyal and a very hard worker, who was always willing to lend a helping hand.”
