Voters in Sapulpa have an opportunity to make a critical investment in the future of our students and our community. It’s no secret for those of us who are “long-term” Sapulpans that our beloved high school gave us wonderful memories and a quality education.
But, it’s time to turn the corner and turn our 60 year old facility into a high school our kids can look at with pride like we did. How many leaky roofs and old clay pipes can be replaced? Let’s face it; education has changed. The curriculum of the future is different and so is the delivery system. Facilities in the 70s weren’t built for today’s needs. Parents want their kids to have the best education for a successful future. They deserve it.
Your vote goes far beyond a new high school building. This bond issue includes upgrades and facilities for fine arts, athletics, technology and agriculture. Perhaps the most important change is a major upgrade in safety. The redesigned high school will have heightened security systems and layers of protection built into the entire campus to help our students and parents feel secure.
Now is the time to make these improvements. Vote YES on September 12.
Dr. Mary Webb,
Retired Sapulpa Superintendent
