Shortly before 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27th, a late model Honda sedan was southbound on 49th West Avenue and failed to yield to a full-sized Nissan van, which struck the Honda on the driver’s side.
According to SPD Officer Kyle Lemasters, three occupants from the Honda were transported to the hospital, and the driver of the Nissan van voluntarily went by ambulance to the hospital to be checked out. At the time of publication, the condition of those transported is not known.
The Honda was so severely damaged that an extraction tool had to be utilized to get the occupants to safety. EMTs and firefighters assisted the occupants of the Honda. As more information is obtained, it will be published.
