Highly anticipated South Main food truck park to open by summer

In a press release sent to Sapulpa Times dated January 21, 2021, D*Luxe Properties, the developer of the new food truck park and retail center at 927 South Main Street, states that, “for Sapulpa residents who are wondering when the Food Truck Park will be opening, the answer is soon!”

The entity reiterated that the park and retail building are being constructed in three overlapping phases. “The first phase is repurposing the old Tastee Burger restaurant into a retail center. This remodeling is about 80 percent complete.” A new dispensary is expected to open in this building sometime in the next few months.

A representative from D*Luxe said that, “unlike typical dispensaries where customers can consume the products close to the store, with this particular retail location, due to the proximity of the public park, there are state and local laws prohibiting this activity. So in reality, this dispensary will actually be the most controlled with the most restrictions of any dispensary in Sapulpa.”

The statement assured residents that “work is well under way on the second phase, the Food Truck Park” itself. “The old car wash structures have been removed, the cleanup of the site has been completed, and ground has been leveled out.” In addition, “the engineering drawings that are needed for completion of dirt work, utilities, and other site features are nearly complete.” The park will by finished by mid-March to early April.

“Design for the new structures—the event center, an open-air gazebo, and the restroom facilities are also underway” and construction should commence on those in about 60 days.

Finally, “the third and final phase of the project” which “includes the construction of an amphitheater—an outdoor performance stage for concerts and other entertainment venues…will begin when the second phase of the project is 80% complete.”

D*Luxe is eager for Sapulpans to know that “while it may look like progress is slow, things are actually moving quickly. With the exception of normal construction delays, Sapulpa residents should be able to begin enjoying the use of the Food Truck Park by this summer!”
