GLENPOOL — The Glenpool Fire Department was a bustle of activity last weekend during the Northeast Regional Fire School.
Both classroom and live exercise training were conducted in three categories: “Advanced Fire Behavior,” “Wild Land Training” and “Wilderness Search and Rescue.”
The Oklahoma State University facilitated training is available for area fire departments due to a state grant (no cost to the city) and prepares fire fighters for a variety of responses to serve their communities. The school organizes the training sessions and brings training props such as the flashover simulator. Instructors come from different area fire departments with each having expertise in their field of training.
