GLENPOOL — Left to handle the abrupt closing of the area’s ambulance service last month, the City of Glenpool was in a frenzy to manage the loss so no resident would be lacking in emergency response care.
The city not only managed, but with the help of other area ambulance operations like EMSA (Emergency Medical Services Authority), carried out the task with finesse.
EMS Plus ceased operating Dec. 16 after failing to providing certification of insurance. Requests for proposals for a new emergency medical response operation have already been sent out by the City of Glenpool after the closing of EMS Plus and are due Jan. 11.
