Creek County Literacy Program, in conjunction with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma, is pleased to announce “Learning and Understanding the Affordable Care Act”, a workshop designed to help individuals learn more about and understand their options for obtaining health insurance coverage. Learning and Understanding the Affordable Care Act will be held Tuesday, October 27 at 5:30pm at the Library Annex, 15 North Poplar Street in Sapulpa.
This free program is geared towards Individuals who may have questions about their health care coverage and how to use it, as well as those looking to obtain coverage. “It is encouraged for anyone over 18 years of age,” shares Christian Gray, Community Outreach Specialist with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma.
“The purpose of the program is to provide assistance and information about health care, which can be confusing,” he explained. Anticipated topics include a review of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), the process and the importance of obtaining health care coverage, how to select a plan, payment information, how to renew health care coverage, and more.
Learning and Understanding the Affordable Care Act is a health literacy project of Creek County Literacy Program supported by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries with funds under the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
