Former Creek County Residents Part of New “Kitchen 66” Food Startups

Russell Wagner, who along with wife Meagan Wagner is participating in the launch program, said that not having access to a commercial kitchen was the biggest obstacle they faced while trying to start their business Mr. Salsa.

The Wagners’ company will provide fresh, cold, ready-to-eat salsas that Wagner said he envisions being sold in refrigerated sections at grocery stores and farmers markets.

Wagner describes himself as someone who has always been a “pepper head” — he made his first habanero sauce at age 11 — and who has a passion for fresh foods.
