Earlier this week Sapulpa Main Street announced that a few brand new food options would be making a pit stop in Sapulpa. For the first time ever, we’re going to have a gathering of Food Trucks! Here are the five big things you need to know:
How many food trucks are we talking about?
So far, four:
- Mr. Nice Guys: Known for their jerked chicken tacos and lobster mac and cheese.
- The Dog House: Known for their huge and dressed up hot dogs like The Tulsa Dog, which has bacon, mustard, jalapeño relish, BBQ sauce & onion on a 1/4 lb beef frank.
- A Picnic Place: These guys were at the Mounds Car Show selling breakfast burritos. Ordinarily, they serve sandwiches, soups and wraps. See their menu here.
- Lick Your Lips Mini Donuts: You thought you knew donuts? Do yourself a favor and settle in for a treat with Caramel Apple Mini-Donuts; that’s apple chips and caramel drizzle sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. On a donut. You’re welcome.
Which one should I try?
These trucks have committed to three weeks in Sapulpa so far on Tuesdays. My advice? Pick a different one each time and then finish off with Mini-Donuts for dessert.
Do they take EBT?
We’re not sure yet, but most of these guys do take all major credit cards, and all of them take cold hard cash.
Where are they going to be?
203 E. Hobson. Look for the large empty lot filled with…Food Trucks. Likely you won’t miss it.
How long will they be there?
For now, we’re getting them on Tuesdays throughout October from 11:00am to 1:30pm. Maybe if you visit them often enough, you’ll convince them to come again!
