Early voting begins on August 22nd for school proposition elections on August 27th; sample ballots available

Early voting begins Thursday, August 22, and Friday, August 23 for voters in Creek County regarding
Propositions for:

  • Kellyville Public School District and
  • Paden Public School District.

Eligible School District voters who will not be able to make it to the polls on this Election Day, have the
option of voting early at the County Election Board.

Creek County Election Board Secretary, Vicki Martin, said early voting is open to all voters. “You do not
need to provide an excuse to vote early. Oklahoma allows early voting for all elections conducted by the
County Election Board or State Election Board—from school board and municipal elections to state and
federal elections.” Martin said.

Early voting is Thursday, August 22 and Friday, August 23 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at only the Creek
County Election Board located at 230 E. Hobson Ave, Sapulpa. Martin reminds voters that early voting is
not available at polling locations.

Some voters may need assistance to vote because they are blind or visually disabled, physically disabled
or infirmed, or illiterate. Such individuals may request to have an assistant or vote privately and
independently using the ATI device attached to the voting device. Those who require assistance should
talk to their precinct official or contact the County Election Board directly for instructions.

Sample ballots available for August 27th Election

Sample ballots are now available for the August 27 Election. Voters can download a sample ballot using
the State Election Board OK Voter Portal at oklahoma.gov/elections/ovp or pick up a copy at the Creek
County Election Board during normal business hours.

Creek County Election Board Secretary, Vicki Martin, reminds voters that sample ballots are specific to
each person. “If the OK Voter Portal indicates that you have no sample ballots available, it means you
are not eligible to vote in an upcoming election. We recommend checking the OK Voter Portal to make
sure you have an election before heading to the polls.”

Martin said sample ballots will also be available at every precinct polling place on Election Day, so voters
can review them before voting.

The Creek County Election Board is located at 230 E. Hobson Ave., Sapulpa. Please contact the Election
Board at 918-224-3529 or creekcounty@elections.ok.gov for additional information.
