The Creek County Republican Party was blessed with three guest speakers at the monthly meeting on July 6th.
Former state Senator Mike Mazzei, who served as Secretary of Budget for Governor Stitt, spoke on various financial topics from the threats of government spending to wise investment strategies. He spoke about King Dollar supremacy due to the economic foundations we have through the U. S. Constitution and how the global reserve status of the dollar is linked to the rule of law, private property rights and free elections. Mazzei explained how bureaucrats are working to further weaponize the financial sector through a Central Bank Digital Currency resulting in increased surveillance and control of Americans. He also touched on the feasibility of a gold standard, how investment in gold compares to the S&P 500, and gold versus inflation.
Claire Kennedy of Oklahoma City gave instruction in building grassroots involvement at the local level. She explained a new community service initiative designed to provide information to Creek County residents efficiently.
The meeting included a visit from Jason Shilling, former Mayor of Perkins. Mr. Shilling was a recipient of the Mayor of the Year award in 2020. He is expanding his service to the community by running for Oklahoma State Senate.
Creek County GOP meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at Praise Fellowship Church, 201 S. Water Street in Sapulpa.
