The weekly meeting of the Creek County Commissioners was held on Monday in the Collins Building. All the Commissioners were present: Chairman Leon Warner, Lane Whitehouse, and New Stephens.
The County Treasurer Don Engle asked that the bid for the preparation of the 2019 tax statements be awarded to Peregrine Corporation from West Monroe, Lousiana, at a cost of $19,330.50 for tax preparation services and mailing costs. There were two bids, but the one from Presort First Class from Oklahoma City was higher at $20,370.03. The Commissioners awarded the contract as asked.
There were ten bids opened and accepted for the 3-month bridge and highway materials and services: Topical Asphalt, Quapaw Co., Wright Asphalt Products, Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions Millenial Asphalt, B & S. Construction, Asphalt & Fuel Supply, APAC Central, Coastal Energy Corp., and Dunham Asphalt Services. There were different prices for different services and some companies provided services that others did not, so there were no prices to report. Next week, after the commissioners have had time to compare the services and products, one bid will be awarded.
The allocation of the Alcoholic Beverage Tax was announced. Chairman Warner remarked that it was “down” from recent allocations. The Tax was allocated as follows: Bristow, $2,852.79; Depew, $322.21; Drumright, $1,967.96; Kellyville, $778.26; Kiefer, $1,140.13; Lawrence Creek, $101.62; Mannford, $2,0891.97; Mounds, $790.65; Oilton, $686.55, Sapulpa, $13,904.59; Shamrock, $69.40; and Slick, $89.23. The Total was $24,785.36 for the month of August.
