Glenpool would like to capture expiring Vision 2025 funds to pay for street, water and sewer projects, economic development and police and fire department equipment.
GLENPOOL — City councilors have voted to place two propositions to capture a portion of the expiring Vision 2025 tax on the April 5 ballot.
Councilors also moved Monday to put a third question before Glenpool voters that would dedicate an additional, permanent tax to public safety personnel.
Approved by voters in 2003, the Tulsa County sales tax known as Vision 2025 is set to expire at the end of this year. This tax is collected at a rate of 0.60 percent.
