This week in Sapulpa History, the Business and Professional Women's Club reported on how Sapulpa was shaping up just after World War 2. What did the 1940s look like for Sapulpa?

Roger’s Bakery was the one-stop shop for all baking needs. Bakeries in early day Sapulpa could be found on nearly every corner; grocery stores and meat markets, too, could be found just around the corner and often in the proprietor’s own residence.

The dawn of the new decade would soon bring many factories to the city. The 1910s brought along glass factories, packing plants, and steelwork businesses. Another new industry would begin in this decade for Sapulpa: motor vehicles.
