Sapulpa's beautiful new Fire Station No. 3, located at 10 E Murphy Ave held its open house last week.

The City Council unanimously approved a resolution on Monday, May 15th to form a committee to investigate and possibly start the process of creating a "tax increment district" in Sapulpa, as a way to reimburse the cost for certain projects happening within the downtown area, mostly those associated with the Downtown Master Plan.

This year, the museum has elected to not only bring back the popular 1922 Packard, but expand it to include additional rides in a 1922 Cadillac Phaeton.

“It is unable to accommodate not just meetings, but in the event of some type of tragedy where all of us need to congregate to work on this crisis that might be coming up,” he said. “It just makes sense to have a location where  three of the critical components of an event are located…

Sapulpa brought home not one, but three awards­—one for the Christmas Chute, and two for Gasoline Alley Classics.

“I am learning all the things that I have not seen as a board member, to the everyday business end of preparing for an election."

On May 11th, 1906, the Sapulpa Light, predecessor to the Sapulpa Herald, ran several articles in their paper, promoting the town. The articles revolved around the virtues of Sapulpa, and what there is to offer about the City of Sapulpa.

Joy Naifeh's reception of her 51 years of service was attended by local and state dignitaries, as well as a number of friends and well-wishers.

Ms. Barton was one of two recipients of the scholarship. The other winner will be recognized at the May 18 meeting, which will be held at La Margarita Restaurant.
