Robert and Shana Dowling had no idea that their random encounter on  at the Creek County Speedway would lead to a date at Sahoma Lake and ultimately, to tying the knot.

Southern Justice Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club recently donated five dry-fire magazines to the Sapulpa Police Department, valued around six hundred dollars.

During Monday's Study Session, City Manager Joan Riley reviewed the proposed 2023-24 general budget for the City of Sapulpa. She estimated $29 million in expenditures and $27 million in revenue, with the largest contribution, $21 million, coming in from sales tax. This would leave an 8.9% general fund balance.

Even though the official summer solstice wouldn’t come around until Tuesday, June 21st, 1949, children, families, and businesses were eager to join the hot summer events around Sapulpa. This week in Sapulpa history, many announcements were made about the 1949 summer season.

This week in Sapulpa history, on June 2, 1905, it was announced that Sapulpa Pressed Brick Company was doing well, in fact, it was the “largest in the Territory.”

Chair Stephens said the study would first determine the needs of the Sheriff and Emergency Management, then it would factor in the cost of rehabilitating and remodeling the building versus erecting a new structure.
