Car crashes into Sapulpa business, nobody hurt

We’re told a woman and her grandson are okay after she ran her car through the front of a small shopping center at 804 E. Taft street, adjacent to Atwoods, around 12:00 p.m. noon on Tuesday.

Heather Edginton owns the Southern Cuts salon that the car crashed into, though it looks like only her door and window were broken. She said the woman in the car with her grandson went to push the brake to put the car into park, and accidentally pressed down on the gas instead.

“She said that she knew enough to turn the car, so it wouldn’t go through the front of the store,” Edginton told Sapulpa Times when called for comment.

Photos show the car skirting the front of the store, going through one of the front pillars, and being stopped by the stairway handrail. Edgington said nobody was waiting at the front of the store, and that it could’ve been worse.

By 4:00 p.m., the car, and debris had already been cleared away.
