Candidates interested in filing for municipal office in several Creek County municipalities will file Declarations of Candidacy beginning 8 a.m. Monday, February 3.
Those who wish to file for a municipal office must submit a Declaration of Candidacy to the Creek County Election Board February 3, 4 or 5, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The Creek County Election Board is located at 230 E. Hobson Ave., Sapulpa.
Candidate filing packets are available on the State Election Board website and at the County Election Board.
In addition to the Declaration of Candidacy, candidates must also submit a Voter Registration Verification Form, which can be obtained from the County Election Board or by logging into the OK Voter Portal at https://oklahoma.gov/elections/ovp.html. Information on the Voter Registration Verification Form must match the information provided on the Declaration of Candidacy.
Vicki Martin, Secretary of the Creek County Election Board, reminds candidates that Contests of Candidacy must be filed no later than 5 p.m. Friday, February 7 and may only be filed by another candidate for that office, unless a candidate files unopposed. Contests against unopposed candidates may be filed by contacting the County Election Board.
Declarations of Candidacy will be accepted for the following municipality offices:
- Town of Depew, Trustee 2
- Town of Depew, Trustee 1 Unexpired
- Town of Kellyville, Trustee 2
- Town of Kiefer, Trustee 2
- Town of Mannford, Trustee 2
- Town of Mounds, Trustee 2
- Town of Mounds, Clerk / Treasurer
- City of Oilton, Councilmember Ward 1, 2, 3 and 4
- City of Oilton, Councilmember Ward 2 (Unexpired), Ward 3 (Unexpired) and Ward 4 (Unexpired)
The municipal offices listed will be filled in the nonpartisan General Election scheduled April 1, 2025.
