Grab your family, hats and gloves and join the Sapulpa Area Chamber of Commerce on Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. for the annual parade in lights. More than 50 area organizations, businesses and student groups will bring the Christmas spirit to Sapulpa as they twinkle, sparkle, dance and prance their way through town.

“This is our longest-running event and we are always excited to see what our participants create in lights,” said Suzanne Shirey, Chamber President. “Our annual parade is a wonderful opportunity for families to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas Season.”

“We are thankful to honor all of our essential workers during this unprecedented year. We hope our float entries will reflect the gratitude of our citizens,” she said.

The Chamber of Commerce would like to invite all business and home owners along the parade route to join in the celebration. The parade starts at Main and Taft, travels north on Main Street and turns east onto Dewey Ave.  It will conclude at the Sapulpa High School back parking lot, near the football stadium.

The Toy Run by Copper Cross Ministries will start the fun, followed by the Sapulpa High School Marine Corp JROTC Color Guard, Sapulpa Fire Department’s Ladder Brigade, local news personalities, dance teams, marching bands, and much more. Oh, and of course Santa and Mrs. Claus will be a highlight.

The annual Sapulpa Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade is sponsored by SeneGence International and Waste Management.

The Best Overall entry will be awarded a collectable Frankoma platter.  First place winners in Business, Non-Business and Youth categories will also be awarded a platter.
