18th Annual Ron Vandever Memorial Golf Tournament Raises Over $19,000 for Central Tech Foundation

The Central Tech Foundation hosted its 18th annual Ron Vandever Memorial Golf Tournament on Friday, raising $19,336.93 to support students in need. The event, held at Buffalo Rock Golf & Venue in Cushing, OK, saw participation from 31 teams and 124 golfers across two flights, with proceeds benefiting Central Tech students facing financial hardships.

The Foundation’s funds have been instrumental in assisting students with professional clothing, training supplies, tuition, transportation, medical emergencies, and other critical needs. Over the past year, the Foundation provided more than $39,000 in support to 85 students from 30 different communities.

“Our students face many challenges outside of the classroom, and the support from the Central Tech Foundation can make a life-changing difference,” said Kent Burris, superintendent. “This tournament continues to be a great example of how our community comes together to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.”
