What to do in Sapulpa this Independence Day

Thursday, July 4th at 10am, Sapulpans will have a chance to gather together for a patriotic Flag Day event conducted by the Sapulpa Elks Lodge. Held at Martha’s Corner on the intersection of Water Street and Dewey Avenue, the purpose of the ceremony is to honor the American flag and recall the achievements attained by our nation beneath its folds. Sapulpa Boy Scout troop #188 will assist in presenting the 8 styles of American flags which have flown over our great country, with special music from members of the Sapulpa Choir. The event will close with free apple pie and ice cream for those in attendance. The special observance of Flag Day has been mandatory for all Elks Lodges since 1908 and Sapulpa Lodge invites everyone to join them for this special event.

Bazemore Bluegrass Band from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Sapulpa Bible Church, 1117 South Brenner Road. The church will provide hot dogs and hamburgers at 5:30 p.m. with folks bringing sides or desserts. If you plan on coming, it would be great to get a head count. Then they’ll have the Bazemore Bluegrass Band play music at 6:30 p.m.

4th of July Party in the Park from 6 to 10 p.m. at The Way Church, 811 West Taft in Sapulpa. Bring your friends and family for an evening of fun as they wait for the Sapulpa Fireworks Show. They will have food trucks from Steak and Bake, Louie’s Dog House, Pie in the Sky, and Bon Cherie, inflatables, Oz Productions DJ services, and more.

23rd Annual Fireworks Celebration by American Heritage Bank from 7 to 10:15 p.m. at the Sapulpa Walmart. Bring your lawn chairs and join in fun family activities from 7 until the show starts at 9:45. The fireworks will be launched from the Sapulpa Municipal Golf Course and the show will last approximately 30 minutes. You may tune into radio station 88.5 FM to listen to the music with the fireworks.
