Cleata Dell Gordon 80, of Sapulpa, passed from this life on February 26, 2019 after a brief illness. She was born Jan 13, 1939 in Paris, Arkansas to Harvey and Elba (Shirley) James. She married Jimmie Gordon on New Years Eve 1979. They were married 37 years.

Cleata was a homemaker, she enjoyed gardening, reading, quilting and she had a love for country music. Some of her favorite country artist were; Freddie Fender, Conway Twitty, Merle Haggard and Mel Tillis. She also had a love and passion for raising dogs and cats. She loved her little dog Tootsie who she fondly called her little baby.

Cleata is survived by her children; Carleen McCurley of Sapulpa, Steve Ward and his wife Tammy of Muskogee, and Jamie Ford of Tulsa. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one brother, Leroy James, twin sister, Oleata Hayes and a host of other relatives.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Gordon, one daughter, Teresa Pryor, her parents, Harvey and Elba James, 4 brothers, Gene, Lowel, Norman and George, and 2 sisters, Juanita and Catherine.

Cleata was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
