Sapulpa Middle School is hosting it’s first annual Run4Reid 5k Color Run on Saturday May 6th from 2pm to 5pm at the Sapulpa Chieftain Center.

The run, established to honor the late Michael Reid, an administrator at Sapulpa who was tragically killed in a hit and run in February while he was running near the Sheridan overpass on the Creek Turnpike.

According to many of his students, Mr. Reid was a great man, mentor, principal and friend. Reid was described as “passionate about running and education.”

Most recently, Reid worked in administration, but was the Principal at the middle school and at Freedom Elementary for many years. Students were his main focus and we hope this run will bring attention to the legacy he left behind.

Proceeds from this race will benefit Sapulpa Middle School, where Reid was recently principal. Tickets can be purchased via their Facebook Page.
